Ney flute that figures prominently in Middle Eastern music. In some of these musical traditions, it is the only wind instrument used. The ney had been played continuously for 4,500 – 5,000 years , making it one of the oldest musical instruments still in use .the Persian ney consists of a hollow gylinder with finger holes sometimes abrass or plastic mouth piece is placed at the top to protect the wood from damage but this plays no role in the sound production. Ney consists of apiece of hollow cane with five or six finger holes and one thumb hole. Modern ney may be made instead of metal or plastic tubing . The pitch of the ney varies depending on the region and the finger arrangement. A highly skilled ney player, called neyzen, can reach more than three octaves though it is more common to have several helper neys to cover different pitch ranges or to facilitate playing technically difficult passages in other.

THE OUD INSTRUMENT

 In the Arab origin oud is considered to be the king of instruments it is assumed that the name aloud is derived from the Arabic for the wood and came to Europe through North Africa. There will be nothing wrong to say that in Arab the oud is considered to be the oldest musical instrument. In fact it is the most central instrument in the middle eastern music tradition. Some others believe that it is the ancestor of pharaohic Egyptian nefer, where as , some others say that this instrument is the fore bear of the ancient Persian barbat. Beside this, oudis also known as the ancestor of the European lute. The sound of the oud vibrates within its hollow body. It is made of a rounded back, which is enclosed with a soundboard, a flat sheet of wood.            

Guitar

 

 

The tone of an acoustic guitar is produced by the strings vibration, amplified by the body of the guitar, which acts as reasoning chamber. The classical guitar is often played as a solo instrument using a comprehensive fingerpicking technique. The term fingerpicking can also refer to specific tradition of folk, bluegrass, and country guitar playing in the us.

Electronic guitar, introduced in the 1930s, use an amplifier that can electronically manipulate and shape the tone. Early amplified guitars employed a hollow body , but asolid body was eventually found more suitable as it was less prone to feed back. Electronic guitar have had a continuing profound influence on popular culture.

 

 

 

 

Electronic piano

                         

Electronic piano was also the trade name used for Wurlitzer's popular line of electronic piano , which were produced from the 1950s to the 1980s , although this was not actually what is now commonly known as an electronic piano . Electronic piano works similarly to analog synthesizers in that they generate their tones through oscillators , whereas electric pianos are mechanical their sound being electrified by a pickup and then amplified through an internal or external amplifier. The first electronic piano date from the 1970s and were mostly made in Italy . Although similar models were made in Japan . An exception is the range of instruments made by RMI in the USA .                          

Zither

                                 

The Zither or Kanoon instrument played in much of the Middle East Central Asia , and southeastern Europe . The name derives from the Arabic word kanoon which means rules , norm , principle " itself from Ancient Greek  rule . It is a type of music is based on magmas . It is used in turkey have 26 courses of strings , with three strings per course . It is played on the lab by plucking the strings with two tortoise shell picks on each hand , or by the fingernails , and has arange of three and half octaves , from A2 to E6 . The dimensions of Turkish kanoon are typically 95 cm to 100 cm . The instrument also has special latches for each course called mandals . These small levers , which can be raised or lowered quickly by the performer while the instrument is being played , serve to change the pitch of a particular course slightly by altering the string length .

 

 

                    

Piano

 

       

Piano is a musical instrument played using a key board it is widely used in classical and jazz music for solo performances, ensemble use, chamber music, accompaniments and for composing and rehearsal. Al though the piano is not – portable and often expensive, its versatility and versatility  and ubiquity have made it one of the world's most pamiliar musical instrument .
